When we incorporate trauma-informed practices into the classroom, we can help all students feel safer, more included, seen, and heard. FocusedKids Executive Director, Amanda Petersen, talks with teachers about invitational language to use when guiding students through a brain break, movement break, or other mindful practice. Giving students a sense of choice creates safety and shows students that their experiences and feelings matter.
