Hi everyone- The holidays can be a wonderful time of year when families and friends unite in order to celebrate and spend quality time together. This is also the time of year to give thanks to the people and things we are most grateful for.
At FocusedKids we developed the “Grateful Goat” exercise to use during the season and had some wonderful experiences. For example, a first-grade class did this with me just before the break. By the end, they had their teacher and me in tears with their stories of all they were grateful for, particularly what they appreciated about their teacher!
It is easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of the holiday season and the afterglow can leave us exhausted and ready to just put it behind us. So with the afterglow upon us, and the new year imminent, it is a good time to reflect and once again bring awareness to what we are grateful for. So we are attaching the Grateful Goat exercise for you as a way to bring in 2018.
We hope you enjoy it and will make gratefulness part of every day with your classroom or family.
